I have always wanted to be a writer but never put myself in a position to make that happen. I am taking this year off to pursue those things I never really got to do because I worked too darn much.
I have wanted to write for as long as I can remember, and when it came time for me to actually have time to do it, it scared the crap out of me that I felt as though I had not one creative thought left in my brain. What the hell was I going to write about?
I decided the focus of my blog would be all the things I never had time to do before…it covers a lot of territory, believe me! Romance happens to be just one of those topics.
I joined a writing challenge for the month of October…to write for 31 days on one thing. People had responded well to my posts about romantic gestures that my husband and I have made towards one another recently, (you can find one story here), even after being married for 25 years. So romance it is – I commit to 31 Days of Romance.
Holy crap….it is tough, definitely a challenge. I am proud of myself though to still be coming up with things to write about, forcing myself to give it more thought, actually finding that this stuff still exists deep in my brain! Will I have 31 days worth, who knows…but here it is so far.
Day 1 Step 1 – talk about it, understand what romance is
Day 2 Step 2 – Understand who you are and how you feel about yourself in this world
Day 3 Step 3 – Understand who your partner is and what their romance style might be
Day 4 Step 4 – Make a plan
Day 5 Tips – Do not settle
Day 6 Tips – Show sweet kindness in all you do
